The man’s lawyer would not say whether he would voluntarily provide the sample. Philip Markoff, aged twenty-three, pled not guilty in the fatal shooting of Julissa Brisman on April 14, as well as the armed robbery four days earlier of a Las Vegas woman.

Both of the crimes were committed at Boston hotels. Prosecutors also announced his indictment for an alleged attack against a stripper in the same week. Authorities reported that he had met all three women on Craiglist, a social classified advertising site.
