SC Man Gets Three Years for Having Sex with Horse

A South Carolina man caught having sex with a horse has been sentenced to three years in federal prison. Several media sources reported that Rodell Vereen was sentenced on Wednesday after pleading guilty to buggery. A judge ordered Vereen to get counseling, and to stay away from Lazy B stables upon his release.

Authorities charged Vereen after a woman set up a surveillance camera and caught him on tape copulating with her horse in July. The owner of the horse, Barbara Kenley, says she staked out the stable and caught him sneaking in. She held him at gunpoint until police arrived. Vereen pleaded guilty last year to having sex with the same horse, was put on probation, and ordered to register as a sex offender.
