Ohio Serial Killer Suspect Due in Court
The registered sex offender charged with killing eleven women and leaving their bodies around his Cleveland home is due in court. A two-person team will be defending fifty-year-old Anthony Sowell against aggravated murder charges that could potentially lead to a death sentence. The pretrial hearing, currently scheduled for Wednesday, could be focused on a defense request for a gag order that would bar attorneys and police from commenting on the very emotional case.
Prosecutors say they expect Sowell to appear. He pleaded not guilty last week by reason of insanity to all charges.
