NYC Father Admits to Killing Daughter

A father in New York City recently pled guilty to killing his fourteen-year-old daughter and stuffing her body in a boiler. She was pregnant with his child. Miguel Matias pleaded guilty on Friday to second-degree murder in a Bronx court. He faces at least twenty-five years, possibly life in prison.

Ana Matias was found crammed into a boiler in her father’s apartment building in February after he called 911 to confess to what he had done. He reportedly strangled the girl because she was “typing sex things” on her computer. A later investigation revealed that Ana had been twelve weeks pregnant with her father’s child.
