NY Teen Charged with Hitting Nurse with Car

A sixteen-year-old boy has been accused of striking a nurse with his vehicle outside of a Syracuse hospital, and has been charged with reckless driving and assault. Andre Escobar was arrested on Friday, two days after a surveillance video recorded the hit-and-run. He has also been charged with leaving the scene of a personal injury accident, and aggravated unlicensed operation of a vehicle.

Investigators were led to the car by an anonymous tip. Rebecca Forsythe, age sixty-one, suffered two fractured vertebrae, a broken leg, and a cut to her head. She is currently in good condition.
