Man Tries to Eat Evidence After Pot Bust

Deputies reported that a man from upstate New York has been charged with tampering with evidence after he was caught growing marijuana, then trying to eat the evidence. Jeremy Wheeler and his father, William Wheeler, were arrested on Sunday night after deputies said they found over a hundred plants growing in the son’s home in Willet, New York. Deputies say that Jeremy Wheeler tried to eat some of his plants while he was being booked.

Jeremy Wheeler, twenty-nine, has also been charged with resisting arrest. His father, fifty-one, was charged with growing marijuana and possession. Both have been released with tickets to appear in court at a later date. It was not stated whether they had lawyers.
