Man Critically Injured in Indiana House Explosion
The recent explosion that destroyed a house in Indiana also critically injured twenty-year-old Derek Noland, who was inside. Jim King, Captain of the Alexandria Fire Department, reported that the house was entirely engulfed in flames and had collapsed by the time fire crews were able to arrive on Tuesday evening. Noland was taken to the burn unit at Wishard Memorial Hospital in Indianapolis, where he remains in critical condition.
The house, which nobody lived in, was owned by Noland’s father and used for storage. The state fire marshall office is being requested to help determine the cause of the explosion, which was powerful enough to litter the yard with debris and damage the siding of nearby houses.
