Kansas City Man Accused of Drugging, Filming Girls

Prosecutors say that a Kansas City man gave sedative-laced ice cream to several young girls, then filmed them in pornographic poses while they were asleep. James Phillip Edwards, aged sixty, was charged on Wednesday with advertising, possessing, and attempting to distribute child pornography.

Investigators said in court documents that computer data seized from Edwards’ home had pornographic images of at least eight different girls. They said that one video showed girls being given drinks and ice cream before being shown unconscious. Authorities say all of the girls are safe. The defense attorney would not comment.
