Judge Reconsiders Denying Mob Case Damages

A Boston federal judge who previously ruled that the mothers of two women allegedly slain by FBI informants were not entitled to collect damages is reconsidering his position. The two mothers want to collect damages for loss of emotional support over the women slain by James Bulger and Stephen Flemmi.

Judge William Young scheduled a hearing for Thursday to hear arguments on whether the mothers of Debra Davis and Deborah Hussey are entitled to additional damages. Young wrote “the court realized that it may have given inadequate weight to the availability of loss of consortium damages.”
