Imams Settle Over Removal from Flight
Six imams that were taken off a US Airways flight in 2006 after passengers reported “suspicious behavior” have settled their discrimination lawsuit. US Airways said they considered the settlement as an acknowledgement for their mistake. Neither the imams nor the judge would discuss the terms of the settlement, which was announced on Tuesday. The settlement still requires approval from a federal judge.
Marwan Sadeddin, of Phoenix, said that the settlement did not include an apology, but that he considers the settlement an acknowledgement that a mistake had been made.
