Ghost Walk Tour Ends in Floor Collapse
Germantown Ohio fire officials reported a surreal accident involving a 164-year-old log cabin whose floor collapsed, trapping a number of people on the second floor and injuring others.
The cabin, called the Toll House, gave way under the weight of tourists who regularly come to visit the the landmark. At least 25 people were in the home at the time, participating in the local historical societies “Ghost Walk” tour in the Veteran’s Park area.
Many people had to be rescued by firefighters in order to be removed from the wreckage. Even so, there were only a few injuries and they were reportedly minor.
The Toll House Cabin structure was built in 1845 and has been a popular attraction for people interested in Germantown history for many years.
