Florida Teen Set Ablaze, Three in Custody
Authorities from Florida state recently reported that a fifteen-year-old received burns across three-quarters of his body after other teens dumped flammable liquid on him and set him on fire. The Sheriff’s Department of Broward County is currently investigating whether this attack could have been due to the teenager stopping the theft of his father’s bicycle the previous day.
Michael Brewer has been hospitalized with severe burns – three teenagers were taken into custody in connection with the attack on Monday afternoon. The attack occured at the Deerfield Beach apartment complex. The teenagers’ names and ages have not been released. Brewer’s brother-in-law, Danny Martinez, reported that Brewer is in serious condition but is expected to recover. Brewer is reportedly burned over much of his torso and arms.
