Florida Man Steals Ferret by Shoving Down Pants
Police have arrested a homeless Florida man for attempting to shoplift a ferret from a pet store by putting it down his pants. Thirty-eight-year-old Rodney Bolton was charged with theft after he tried to stealĀ the $129 pet. He made it all the way to the parking lot before being confronted by a seventeen-year-old witness.
Bolton reportedly shoved the ferret in the witness’s face, causing the witness to be bitten. Under Florida state law, this usage makes the ferret a “special weapon,” and Bolton is also facing battery charges for wielding the ferret as a weapon. Authorities have not stated whether Bolton has a lawyer.
