Fla. Office Shooter Stayed For a Minute, Witness Says
A man who witnessed a former employee come into an Orlando office building and begin shooting said that the man was there for about a minute. The attack left five wounded and one dead. Mark Davidson, vice president of the engineering firm Reynolds, Smith and Hills, said on Monday that his co-workers were able to remain calm and not scream as Jason Rodriguez entered the reception area of the office and started shooting.
Rodriguez has been charged with first-degree murder. Police Chief Val Demings of Orlando says that more charges are expected. Rodriguez’s attorney is planning to paint a picture of mental illness for forty-year-old Rodriguez, saying his mental state was caused by financial and personal problems.
