Couple Allegedly Leaves Kids Alone in Cart While Shopping

A couple in Georgia were apparently so distracted during Black Friday that they left their children alone in a shopping cart, authorities say. The thirty-five-year-old man and thirty-one-year-old woman were charged with reckless conduct.

Charles Chapman, Banks County Sheriff, said that the parents left their nine-year-old and nine-month-old children in a shopping cart at the Walmart so they could go shopping. Chapman said he guessed the couple thought the kids would slow them down. The children were unharmed.
