California Man Indicted in Bludgeoning Deaths

A California man has been indicted on capital murder charges in the deaths of four people found beaten to death at a Virginia home in September. The Prince Edward County Circuit Court indictments were returned for twenty-year-old Richard McCroskey.

McCroskey has been charged in the deaths of his girlfriend, sixteen-year-old Emma Niederbrock, her parents, fifty-year-old Mark Niederbrock, and fifty-three-year-old Debra Kelley, as well as Emma’s friend, eighteen-year-old Melanie Wells. Their bodies were found in a home in Farmville.
