Arizona Dad Hits “Westernized” Daughter with Car

Police in Phoenix, Arizona have arrested an Iraqi immigrant suspected of purposefully hitting his daughter with his car because she had “become too Westernized.” Authorities have released few details, but say that forty-eight-year-old Faleh Almaleki is in custody. Police are not saying where he was arrested or where he is currently being held.

Twenty-year-old Noor Faleh Almaleki has been hospitalized in serious condition. Police say her family moved to the suburb of Glendale from Iraq in the mid-’90s. Authorities say Faleh Almaleki became upset that his daughter had become “too Westernized,” and struck her with his car in a a parking lot on October 20th.
